WALSAA Student Awards
WALSAA Outstanding Sophomore Award
Annually, WALSAA selects several outstanding sophomores who have demonstrated excellence in academics, leadership and service to the University and their community. These students are awarded a financial gift to apply toward tuition in their junior year at UW-Madison. The amount of each award is $1,000 per student. The Outstanding Sophomore Award winners are recognized in the fall, in addition to being announced in the WALSAA Connection newsletter and website.
Applications are managed through UW-Madison’s Wisconsin Scholarship Hub (WiSH). Please complete the WiSH General Application followed by the CALS Continuing Student Scholarship Application between November 1 and February 1.
Farm & Industry Short Course Student Awards
The WALSAA Farm & Industry Short Course Outstanding Student Award were presented to first and second year UW-Madison Short Course students who exceled in academics, activities and leadership.
WALSAA Senior Impact Award
The WALSAA Senior Impact Awards were presented to CALS Seniors. Although these are no longer available as of 2026, check back for future updates to this award.
